In March 2025, I participated in the 69th Commission on the Status of Women at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City, USA. As a youth journalist with international NGOs and UN Partner Organizations Global Youth Philanthropy and Peaceland Foundation’s Youth Voice Media Centre program, I was able to attend main conference meetings within the UN Headquarters and interview a wide range of conference attendees from UN officials to NGO representatives. 

After my visit to the United Nations to participate in the 69th annual Commission on the Status of Women conference in March 2025, I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to interview Lisa Doughten, the Director of the Financing and Partnerships Division at the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.

In November 2025, I had the incredible opportunity to volunteer at the Shindo Daisuke Junior Golf Tournament in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan. Sponsored by ANA Airlines, the tournament brought together some of the most talented young golfers in the region, and being part of such a special event was both inspiring and unforgettable.

In 2025, I attended the Yale International Relations Camp (YIRLC) Japan, a three-day program designed to mirror the discussion-based learning environment of a university international relations course. From the very first day, I was placed into a small group with students I had never met before, which immediately pushed me to speak up, listen carefully, and collaborate in a new academic setting.
